Established in 2013, Midwest Steel Carports has steadily grown into the prominent corporation it is today. We have grown from a team of five to a team of 50+ throughout our years. We continue to welcome qualified individuals into our family! As a family-owned business, we pride ourselves in our excellent customer service and strive to provide each customer with a satisfactory experience. Due to our diligence and determination, we have been able to move from a rented space to our own redesigned manufacturing facility. Many amazing individuals have contributed to our growth and success in the past few years, including a beloved owner and family member, Hector Aguilar, Jr. Midwest Steel Carports sends a special thank you to Hector, whom we will hold in our memory as we continue to progress. With a bright outlook for the future, we are determined to make every year better than the last!
I would give 10 STARS if I could! Everyone at Midwest Steel Carports (the salesperson, the secretary, the design staff, the operations manager, and of course the hardworking installers) were there to answer my many questions. They designed and installed my building in a timely manner and were friendly and professional the entire time. My building turned out better than we imagined and I would recommend this company to anyone who is looking to build.
We were in need of the most cost effective building to expand our production facilities. Our timeline was very short. Midwest Steel Carports has provided us with a solid insulated structure. We are grateful for there quality, service, and expertise. I have referred this fine company to a few friends, and will continue to do so.

This past week June 2024 I had Midwest Steel Carports Wrecked the Second building that I purchased from them.I was a very satisfied with the 25 x 50’ building with five large garage doors that they built for me in 2020I am equally satisfied with the 30 foot wide 20 foot deep open wall carport that they install this past week.Highlights of the company include the fine price. I got on a Thanksgiving day holiday discount special, excellent service from the female job coordinator named Andy and superb installation from the hard-working crew led by Eleno from AAA Installation companyThe crew worked very hard and very efficiently and did everything that I asked them to do.They were a pleasure to work with and put up a high-quality structure.The first steel building I put up with them I did my own permitting, which seemed to go smoothlyThe salesman for my second building said that the company would take care of the permitting free of charge so I let them handle it l. This was the weakest link of the company as the information about what needed to be done by who by when what’s not communicated well and steps that were needed to be done we’re not communicated by the permit coordinatorHowever, I did do some of the steps myself when I found out that they needed to be done ASAP and worked with the coordinator to get the permitting completed in time for the jobNo mention was made by the permit coordinator about the need for a soil erosion permit or waiver or for the need to call Utility line marking people Miss DigOverall, I was pleased with the final product and would work with the company again.The office staff, including Alejandro were generally very responsible and responsive

Jose and his team did a Great job! Knocked it out in one day. Midwest is a little bit more pricier than other brands, but They have a real garage door versus roll up door for a Option. Witch what i went with.They had a special and came down on price too. I would use Jose and his team again. Great Guys.

These guys have been awesome from sales to installation. We ordered 2 carports, one for our older RV at the lake and another bigger unit for behind our garage at home. Gus in sales worked with us for days to get us a deal we couldn’t pass up. The lake carport was completed by the deadline we needed it and looks fantastic. The install team was truly outstanding. We have the second unit scheduled to be built in May. I’m sure we’ll love it as much as we do the first one. Highly recommend.

Great company to deal with. Met them while walking through the Grand Rapids RV show. Communication, design and planning on the new garage was awesome. The installers were great to deal with as well. Construction even started a day ahead of schedule. The guys showed up at around 7:30am and were cleaned up and gone by 6pm with the job completed! I would highly recommend them and will definitely use them for any future buildings.

Very helpful in establishing the design I wanted with the modifications. Price was right for my needs of RV storage and ATV's on my hunting land. Construction is solid, the only hard part was preparation and timing with the concrete, in which Midwest was very accommodating as to timing

16x22 garages built by Midwest steel. Brett the sales men was a great help gave me the steps in the right direction. He was there with me every step even after the job was complete. I highly recommend this company for all your garage or car port needs.The 4 guys that were sent out to do the job did everything in 6 hours with no issues and cleanup was done. 5 stars for the whole team. I would highly recommend Midwest Steel Carports. They just built us a 30 x 30 garage and it turned out perfect. Jorge at the home office was great to work with on the design and communicated very well throughout the entire process. The organization seems to be very well run, the follow up from the production people like Andrea was great. We knew when the building would be delivered and everything happened exactly as scheduled. The crew that installed the building were on time and did a fantastic job cleaning up after the building was completed. The quoting process was positive, their prices were competitive. Communication was a bit hit and miss. The custom design simulator was fun to use, but once they were on-site to build they made several changes due to interference with the framing. In the end they met the guaranteed delivery and the building we have received is well built.We put a down payment towards the building and signed digital paperwork on February 9th. Unfortunately, our concrete source was not able to schedule us until August 14th. This was not an issue for (Midwest Steel Carports) MSC and they recommended that we put the down payment to lock in the price of our building. We were told once the concrete was poured to send a picture to confirm.Approximately once a month we received a phone call from MSC to check and see if our site was ready early. During July I did not receive the monthly phone call that I had been receiving. Our concrete was completed on August 18th . The phone number I was provided for confirmation did not have enough digits and did not work. I decided I would email it to the representative that we went through the quoting process with. My email bounced back as undeliverable. I assume that our rep left the company, so I called their main line instead. At first the representative I talked to made it sound as though they could not find our order, which made me feel uneasy. Thankfully, after a few minutes they found our order and I was given an e-mail to send the confirmation picture. They requested we verify the details of our quote again. My response was late in the evening; I received an email response the following Monday (August 21st) stating our order was updated, we would be sent to the scheduling department and would be in contact soon. By Saturday August 26th I had not heard from the scheduling department so I sent an e-mail to check up on our status. The following Monday (August 28th) we received a response that stated they were trying to work our order in with others so they could complete a run and schedule it. They stated they would reach back out soon and appreciated our patience. Tuesday September 5th we still had not received any word regarding the scheduling of our building install. MSC website guarantees a 4 week delivery and without having a scheduled date and over two weeks gone my wife started to wonder if the 4 week timing was going to be achievable. My wife reached out to another representative and within the next hour I received a phone call from MSC looking to schedule our install for Friday September 8th. I was told that I was not required to be there during assembly, but needed to be there for the completion and to pay our remaining balance. Friday morning while at my workplace I received a phone call from the builders asking if anyone was home. They then wanted clarification of where we wanted our man door and windows and I stated we simply want the building exactly as it had been drawn. They asked if I wanted it to be perfect and at this point I did not know how to respond and was quite flustered. I requested leave from work from my employer and drove home to confirm the building plan. The builder did have a printout of the model that we had designed for our building with dimensions for where the doors and windows should be the drawings were just the same drawings we looked at on their website custom modeler. The builder explained that where I had the man door and the windows would interfere with the framing of the building and they would need to shift things to make them work. While I was ok with the changes that had to be made (things were shifted a few inches not feet) it was disappointing that this layout we had planned for months was not even available to begin with. After we were completed with the changes that had to be made I returned to work and left the builders to their work. They finished the installation later that afternoon. The building itself appears to be very well constructed and I feel that we received good value out of our investment.

The entire process from quote to construction was seamless. Communication throughout the entire process was excellent!! Scheduling the build was perfect along with the exact time window of when the crew would show up at the job site on the day of the build. I bought a 20 x 30 building last year. The installation was great. I had to wait 7 months for the roll up doors. I was very patient and ok with it. I know there’s shortages on certain things. After they installed them one door was perfect, the other my wife couldn’t open. It would bind up. After numerous phone calls I was told to send a video. I did this and just from the sounds the door made and the effort it takes to lift they said I received a bad door and they would be out to check it out and replace it. Haven’t heard from them since. I’ve tried to make adjustments to the door myself and have it working as good as I can! It still just isn’t as good as the other one. Very disappointed. Would pay a little extra from another company with higher quality doors. They have since come and fixed the door. Thanks!!

The building we purchased is very sturdy. Mr. Abelardo and his team came in and had it up within four hours. Very professional, friendly and polite. Getting the permit straightened away between the Auditors office and Midwest was frustrating. I wish someone would have told us it would take at least a month after purchase before it is put up. I was under the impression it would be up with in 5 to 10 business days after purchase Everytime the time period expired, I found out I had another step to take. The office staff at Midwest can use training on listening to the customers concerns before getting an attitude. They just didn't seem to know how to give a straight answer which caused a lot of confusion, frustration and bad attitude . But, in the end it all worked out and the last time I spoke with the office, all was.good. Koodos for the guys putting up the building.

We just can't describe how amazing it was to work with Midwest Steel on our project. Jorge in sales made sure every single aspect of our design was exactly what we envisioned. He asked us questions we never even considered and spent the time to nail down our vision with us. Elizabeth was an absolute pleasure to work with through obtaining a permit. She was always there when I reached out to her for help or needed clarification or a document. She even gave me tips and tricks to make the process easier. And with a delay in material for our site preparation she checked in with me regularly to make sure we were all on point for scheduling. That was so incredibly helpful! Once our site was ready Noe and Rudy handled confirming our design for the fabrication team and scheduled our installation. And just WOW to them! Absolutely amazing communication and attention to detail from them. They were SPOT ON! Installation day, Alejandro and his team rocked our building out in 2 days! (A 30' x 50' x 12' with a 10' x 50' lean to) His team was a dream to watch work. They operate like a well oiled machine, truly impressive! They communicated phenomenally and would make sure we were on the same page if any decisions needed to be made pertaining to adjustment. They made sure our site was clean, everything worked properly and gave us a thorough walk through when it was completed. From beginning to end Midwest Steel is a powerhouse dream team! I have been working with Hector Montes at Mid-West Steel since the Fall of 2022 in planning our garage. After countless revisions on my part and Hector's patience we came up with the plan. The communication was excellent and great details on site preparation and expectations. The team who arrived were efficient, professional, and friendly. We are SUPER happy with the addition of the clear panels in the back of the garage for natural light. Rolling doors work smoothly, construction garage is sound.

Process was easy, quick, and the building is very high quality. Everyone from the first phone call to completion was friendly and showed excitement about me finally getting the barn I’ve wanted for years. I was skeptical about this style of building, but glad I went through. This building is strong, and not made from cheap thin steel. Installation crew were the hardest workers I’ve ever seen and completed the job in about 12 hours, with no short cuts. Would definitely use them again if I need another structure. Can’t wait for concrete to get poured and move in.

Allen Salas and his team at Midwest Steel Carports were very helpful to us with the initial installation of our carport last fall. The team was hard working, efficient, and dependable. All the workers were respectful of the space and property; they cleaned up so well, you could barely tell they had been there. Very well put together. My cement was uneven evidently poor work by the cement people, has nothing to do with Midwest private company by my house. Anyway the point I want to make was since the cement was uneven the guys took time and modified the carport to make everything was even and I’m grateful for that thank you God bless you guys for all you did.I did add a few pictures just to show how the ends were closed up and how nice everything looked… The walls were 7 feet which came out to be just about right for what I needed. Hope this helps.

We just had our new steel 24 x 40 garage put up on 8/16/2022. The crew installing worked for over 12 hours straight and did a great job. The building looks fantastic and great product quality. The install crew leader , Antonio, ensured that the building layout and set up was done correctly before and during the process. The building was set up perfectly level and even with the road next to it. Very happy with our purchase! I was a bit nervous purchasing a steel building online at first. From my first conversation with Jorge I could tell they knew what they were talking about. I Own and operate a farm and have had midwest steel carports put 2 buildings up for me now. First was and addition onto an existing barn I went from a 32x40 to a 32x65 with 2 additional roll up doors. They were very accommodating since this is not a common request. I worked with their engineers and the county building inspector and the project went very well. The second building was a open side standard roof which was very straight forward and they had it up and installed within a couple hours. The Crew of installers are amazing! Family men that are great craftsman and very professional at what they do for a living. A great local business with great people in the office and in the field!Update 5/16/22You guys are always great to work with. This is our 3rd building now from you and as always your installers did an excellent job! Office staff and install crew are great!

Job site was left spotless. I am so glad that we went with your company. Amazing price, Amazing crew, and a Amazing Building. EVERYTHING TOP QUALITY! PS I had a 18" clear sheeting put on the upper part of building on each side. This does provide enough lighting for basic work. I'm glad I did this since there is no electricity to the building.

We just had our Midwest Steel building put up to house our travel trailer. The quality of the materials and the colors of the sheet metal were very good.MWS sent an experienced crew for our job and had it completed in about five hours. Our salesman Jorge Torres was easy to work with and provided us with multiple quotes as we worked to finalize the building's configuration and options. If you are looking for a good steel building you can't go wrong with Midwest Steel Carports. We worked with Midwest Steel Carports in Jan 2022 to design a garage. We unfortunately weren’t able to complete our build due to permit issues, but our experience with Midwest was great. Jorge Torres worked with us and was able to answer all of our questions… and trust me we had a lot. He was able to provide specific details and explanations for all aspects of the building and the overall process. He also had no problem refunding our down payment when the permits fell through. They treat you like family and understand that each customer has their own needs and budget. We would recommend Midwest Steel Carports to anyone looking for a reliable building from an honest, easy to work with company.

I was extremely nervous going the online route for building my 30x50x12 barn. I did not know what to expect. I was also worried about the quality of the building materials. I could not be happier with my decision to use Midwest. The crew that assembled the building was hard working and cleaned the project up very well. We had some hurdles with the township inspector that Elizabeth and Sarah handled extremely well and extremely fast. I would recommend Midwest to anyone looking to do a project like this. It was also a 1/3 of the price and 10' longer than the original plan to have a 30x40 wood pole barn put up. Thanks a lot to everyone at Midwest. I love my new building.

Our 30 x 14 RV carport building was scheduled to be built tomorrow, but I received a text from Jesus Monroy this afternoon asking if they could put it up today, as they were ahead of schedule. I said sure and they were here within a half-hour.Well, I can see why they were ahead of schedule. We ordered a RV Cover for our motorhome from Midwest Steel after getting estimates from several other companies. Midwest Steel promised a great product at a reasonable price and within 4 weeks of our order. THEY DELIVERED! We were amazed at the on time delivery and professional installation by their workers.Their workers got every nut and bolt put together perfectly and ended up providing the finishing touches in the pouring rain without comment. I have never dealt with such an interactive and professional builder before. They go above and beyond to ensure the project is completed on-time and to spec. I first worked with Angel in sales to complete the order. Later I worked with Judith and Noé in scheduling to make sure my site was prepared and ready. The actual work crew was lead by Alex who did a wonderful job of construction and also cleanup. These guys built a 24x40x10 in ten hours! Amazing work! I will be calling Midwest Steel Carports again for future work. Thank you!All future customers who are interested in purchasing a steel building need to do their homework. I nearly sent a $$$$ down payment to a "fly by night" competitor that was offering the same building for 30% less. I did a simple "google" search and discovered that other vender was rated "F" with the Better Business Bureau. Perform your due diligence and research a good company like Midwest Steel Carports, Inc. (who are rated "A" with the BBB...) It was totally worth the additional $$$ to have a legitimate firm like Midwest perform the project. They stayed within the quoted price, were ON-TIME, and completed the job in record time!

Midwest Steel Carports customer service is what "Customer Service" should be!!! Even though we had a delay with getting our garage doors (due to Covid) they were right on top of things and kept me informed regarding our building's status. Had a great experience working with Midwest Steel Carports to design, purchase and have installed my carport to cover my 30 foot RV. Love the looks of it, it's kept all the recent snow and ice off, and no longer need to worry about branches coming down onto the top of it and puncturing my roof. Three weeks after I purchased the RV this summer (before I ordered the carport) a one inch diameter branch fell off a tree and punctured the top of the roof. No more having to worry about that.

With my approval they showed up 3 days ahead of schedule and proceeded to put up a custom 26x32 shed and lean-to in 3 short days. Attention to details and aesthetics was greatly appreciated and evident in how they went out of their way to make seams line up in a consistent uniform manner. Clean-up the site upon completion and neatly got things in order. Would absolutely recommend working with them and would choose them for future projects.
